USA
New York
Whilst the history of American watchmaking may not be as storied and well-documented as Swiss or British watchmaking, it is by no means less important, with the likes of Elgin, Bulova and Hamilton all important American watchmaking firms. Therefore it should come as no surprise that today there is an effervescent horlogical community across the US, with New York City home to the Horological Society of New York, the headquarters of Hodinkee, and even the original RedBar (a now global watch meet-up phenomenon). It is also home to a huge amount of watch boutiques and retailers throughout Manhattan - our map identifies our favourite boutiques and retailers to help you plan make the most of your time when watch shopping in New York.
