Introducing the new Watch Affinity store on Etsy! Teaming up with talented watch photographer @fedorology, I am delighted to announce that we can bring you Watch Affinity watch photography prints. Read on to see our first three prints, and learn how to get yours!

Watch Affinity Photographic Prints

I have always thoroughly enjoyed watch photography. I don’t have the skill or patience for it myself, however it is something I’ve always had an interest in. For these Watch Affinity photographic prints, I’ve teamed up with talented watch photographer @fedorology to curate a set of three prints!

Each Watch Affinity print is an original photograph of an actual watch. The print is A3 size and printed on glossy paper, professionally printed through our suppliers.

Each order is for just the print itself, so you can choose how to mount and frame it as you wish; for the photos below I chose to frame them with a white mount and thin black frame to keep with the monochromatic photography. The look great up on the wall too, as you can see some examples of below:

The following prints are available on request either via the Contact page, or via our Instagram:

Rolex Submariner Watch Photography Print

If you ask anyone to pick an iconic watch, the Rolex Submariner is pretty likely to top of a lot of lists. The first release of the Submariner came in 1953, and it has been a mainstay in the Rolex catalogue ever since and has served to essentially define the baseline of what constitutes a dive watch.

The design hasn’t changed an awful lot since its inception, and it is a design which many others have been inspired by – a testament to just how good a design it is.

For this photo of the Rolex Submariner 116610LN, both the bezel and the incredible finish on the bezel teeth are highlighted, with a focus the lume pip situated at the 12 o’clock position. The light dances on both the bezel and dial, showcasing the depth of the piece with its applied hour markers, hands, and the subtle Rolex logo on the dial.

Heuer Carrera Watch Photography Print

The first Carrera appeared in 1963, the name taken from a Mexican road race from the 1950s, the Carrera Panamerica, which was itself short-lived only running between 1950 and 1954, before being cancelled in 1955 following a string of fatalities during races.

By the 1970s, Heuer affirmed theirs and the Carrera’s relationships with motor-racing by forging links within Formula 1, and the Carrera was also chosen to house calibre 11 – one of the world’s first automatic chronograph movements. You can find my article about the history of the Carrera collection here.

Also be sure to check out Nicholas Biebuyck’s excellent book on the Carrera, “TAG Heuer Carrera: The Race Never Stops (affiliate link)

This photograph is of a vintage second generation Heuer Carrera, highlighting the crown with classic original Heuer logo as it was until the company was acquired by TAG to form TAG Heuer.

Breguet Tradition Watch Photography Print

With a step away from the better-known brands and pieces, this photograph is of a Breguet Tradition 7027. The brand was founded by Abraham-Louis Breguet in 1775, who went on to become one of the single most important watchmakers of all time. You can read more about Abraham-Louis Breguet and his career here.

The Breguet Tradition is a testament to his famous Souscription pocket watches, and is a personal favourite of both mine and Fehd, and so we wanted to champion this piece in the launch of our store.

For this shot, the guilloche dial has been beautifully captured, showcasing the relief of it with intelligent use of lighting, the famous Breguet hands, and the retrograde power reserve indication, framed by the barrel and a couple of gears.
